A fisherman on the East River bravely protested the frequent Claw patrols in East River – by tying a note.
“I was tired of them runnin’ all over the place, scarin’ all the fish. So I tied a note on the only thing I could find.”
The fisherman tied a note to the periscope of a Claw sub which read:
You’re wrecking the blue
Makin me see red
The river’s lost its hue
The fishing’s dead
Sail out to sea
and leave our river be.
