East River has gone solar, and not in a small way. Directly across from the Waterbank News offices in Pippen, East River Power and Light has installed six large solar arrays that will track the sun.
“It’s more than making the community green,” said a East River Power and Light spokesperson, “it’s about making East River more independent.”
East River Borough, which has a growing population has increasingly had to rely on outside power sources to fuel new industry.
“Adding solar is a positive step toward energy balance,” said WBA President Sketch Sun, “and we have Xi Lauria to thank for that.”
