A tragic crash of a GEMC Detroit class bus driving off a road at night was caught by an amateur photographer. The photographer, who adamantly denied that he was anywhere near Wigglebottom’s House of Healthy Repute, saw the bus swerve and break through the guard rail.
“It was horrible. I could see all those faces in terror as the bus went off the road, down the embankment and into the river. For a moment I thought the bus would float in the river, but then, plop! Down it went.”
The bus was carrying 42 mannequins for a haunted house set to open next week. “I’m sure the photographer was horrified seeing those faces,” said the driver, “it was the creepiest load I ever had to haul, and I was glad I got rescued from that.”
