East River Intercontinental Airport has nearly completed a massive renovation and hub improvement. According to ERIA, the new AirLink subway link is already ferrying passengers to ERIA Terminal 2 at the west side of the field, and the ERIA Cargo hangar on the north side has been processing double the previous freight loads.
“Now if you want to get to Gate S1 or S2 it’s a smooth air conditioned ride under the tarmac. Last year,” said a traveler, “it was a mad dash over the runway in a golf cart.”
Airport Monthly has repoted that the renovations and improvemments were the result of an ERIA and Riverbank Bank financing plan, and that there may be more improvements soon.
