Divers in Pippen have discovered devastation from a crab population that grew so large it became a devouring horde across the river floor. Biologists have tracked the crabs on the river who have been migrating north, leaving devastated river bed behind them.
A professor of marine biology at Waterbank University spoke with us. “We’ve known for some time about the crab problem, but we thought that the river bed would recover after a few months. The crabs have moved on, but not the river.”
