The WBA has suggested that a Planning Office for the East River be formed to encourage growth and industry along the river. The suggestion, offered in a restroom full of community officials, was received with grunts and groans.
One of our reporters present said that the suggestion followed a complaint by one of the council members that the East River was stagnant and that “Pippen was the only place where things happen.”
The WBA has refused to comment on their suggest officially, and told Waterbank News that “private places have private conversations. Bathrooms are no place for microphones.”
