Industry Insiders Surprised by Airline Merger

SLNN News 9 has learned that Eagle Airways has merged operations with Bluejet. The deal becomes official November 26 with HarrisonFord becoming 1/3 owner in Eagle Airways. All of Bluejet’s aircraft, pilots, and assets will become part of Eagle.

This comes on the heels of last summer’s acquisitions by transport giant Salvage Transport & Freight Union (STFU). Eagle has struggled to hold on to the number two spot in the airline wars. With the addition of Bluejet’s assets and routes, Eagle may have the resources to edge Vulture Air out of the top spot.
