The rescue team, a specially trained mountain team from SOCL 57 was hunting for a cartographer lost in the snow heavy mountains.
Via radio they talked to Waterbank. “Our guy has been lost for over a week, but we were lucky and there’s been no snowfall. We were able to follow the tracks and then we saw the boats in the water.”
“Our GPS even said “Klaw,” and we could see two large boats with aircraft leaving them. When the helicopters flew over our heads, the Claw emblem was as clear as day.”
The position of the two was at Klaw, 96, 150, 53, and already another team from Waterbank has been dispatched to investigate.
